General Rules

CSI (Creative Science Investigations) is compulsory for all Secondary 1 students.

The total number of participants for each entry should not exceed 4 (unless approval is sought from the teacher-mentor).

Each group will be managed by their Science teachers as their mentors. Please approach your teacher-mentor for assistance.

The CSI project must be done by the participants themselves with appropriate guidance from their mentor(s).

Any part(s) of the projects which are obtained from other sources must be acknowledged (this includes the use of freeware web templates). Copyright laws are to be observed. More information are also available below this page.

The guidelines for the internal competition must be strictly adhered to. Good CSI Projects may be shortlisted to take part in external competitions.

AES Science Department will decide on the quanta of awards. The decision of the judges is final.
Awards​
There are different judging criteria for different streams.

1 Normal Academic/Technical Criteria
All groups have chances to win the following awards:

Outstanding CSI Project (Gold) (1 group per class)

Outstanding CSI project (Silver) (1 group per class)

Most popular poster (3 teams to be selected from each stream)

In addition, the best teams will get the chance to showcase their project to the school. You may also be selected to represent the school in external competitions.
